To one and all,
Mere and I wanted to add our post to the blog. However, we will have to defer to nate and em dawg to post some pics of us while we were down in SoCal as we didn't have a functioning camera.
By way of synopsis of our trip, we landed thursday and went immediately to in-n-out, delicious. Friday, we rented a car and went down to the OC to see Truman, Em, Nate and Elle. We had a great visit with nate followed by several splendid hours with Truman and Emily at the hospital. He is a gem of a baby. It was neat to hear his little boy cry. Emily looked great and we were so excited to be down there at the same time for this. Nate did not dissapoint as he got some filet mignons from Costco and we grilled it up that night before he went over to the hospital to spend the night with Em and T-dub while Mere and I watched Elle. It was great to see Elle, she is talking a ton and is a little mima bird repeating everuything you say, "lil taste!"
Saturday we drove up to Burbank and had a lunch at a golf course overlooking burbank, it was absolutely gorgeous, you could see downtown LA in the distance. That night we got some Tommy Burgers and spent time with family at Grandma Junes in Burbank. She is 90 and doesn't miss a beat, its great.
Sunday we drove around La Canada and I saw the Lynns old house and then we went back to Heather and Spence's before our flight. In all, it was a great trip and totally relaxing. It all came together perfectly. Mere and I love you all and were grateful we could be there and see all of the Smiths.
