Model of the Old City

This is a model of the Old City. It is located at the Jewish Museum, across the street from the Knesset. We are standing at the south end of the model looking north. The finger shaped enclosure on the south end is the portion of the City that was controlled by the Jesubites. David and his men captured this portion of the City by sendng David's nephew up through the water system, into the city late at night. The nephew then opened the gates to the City and David's soldiers came in. They captured the City without a fight. The Temple is the large building on the right side.
